Support of The Drake Fund helps meet the most immediate needs of the University, including scholarships, athletics, arts, leadership opportunities, the live mascot program, academic centers, Cowles Library, and each of our colleges and schools.
Planned Giving offers donors the ability to support Drake in a variety of ways. Options include a bequest or living trust; designating Drake as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, or other retirement plans; or a "life income gift," which offers immediate and considerable tax savings as well as an income for life. Drake works closely with donors and their financial, legal, and tax advisors to create planned gifts.
Your generosity will benefit Drake students for generations to come through an endowed gift. The endowment is a vital, continuous source of support that bolsters the resiliency of the institution. Resources are carefully invested, and the return on that investment provides the University with a permanent source of funding that grows over time.
With a restricted gift, you can support specific initiatives, programs, or activities over a defined period of time to foster growth and achieve stability.
Capital giving supports infrastructure projects that enhance the student experience and elevate teaching and learning. While University Center is the most prominent capital project, classroom and office renovations across campus are also necessary to realize the vision of our campaign priorities.
We’d love to talk about our shared love of and vision for Drake and how you can help make it a reality. Contact us today.
